 | Old Greenhouse Carnations The original cut flower, although no longer used for commercial production they are excellent for their amazing colours and very high clove scent, which unfortunately is now lacking in the more popular perpetual flowering carnations. Suited to greenhouse or conservatory, will require support when flowering, don't require heat in winter, they do dislike prolonged wet conditions. |
| | Malmaison These really are special, they date back as far as 1857 and are all heavily clove scented ! No greenhouse is complete without pots of these and no dinner table is properly presented without a few of these flowers in a vase ! Can be seen growing at the RHS Gardens at Wisley. |
