Dark Leaf Dahlias

Dark-leaved varieties offer a particularly attractive contrast to their brightly coloured flowers and have been selected for superior foliage quality and floriferous performance. Producing abundant summer blooms, dahlias are well suited to borders and patio containers, either as specimen plants or combined with complementary planting. They perform best in moist, well-drained, fertile soil in a sunny position, with regular deadheading to promote prolonged flowering. Plants typically reach 35–45cm in height and develop strong stems, making them suitable for both garden display and cutting.
