Spring and Summer tend to be favoured months for gardeners as the colours are something spectacular. However, one of my most favourite things about Autumn are those magnificent fiery colours that parade our landscapes at this time of year adding a certain richness in colour to our gardens. But not all hope is lost as the cold starts to set in as we have some seriously stunning varieties that will be great additions to your greenhouse or conservatory when the dreaded cold sets in.
Our Autumn catalogue for 2017 is now available and this is one you will not want to miss. We have added a good 40 odd new varieties to our stock for the season which are available for purchasing now.
Varieties include Perpetual flowering carnations - Elsie Ketchen and Florence Franklin, both unusual in colour but rather striking. Pelargoniums such as Priory Star, P.Alice, Cy's Sunburst and Noel Gordon are just a few choices and Succulent - Sedum Furfuracium is a great compact grower with interesting colouring.
There is one variety which we have created quite a buzz around of late which you may or may not have noticed but we believe this special addition deserves to be in the limelight and has already proven to be an upcoming favourite! It made its debut appearance on our Gold Medal winning display in the Royal Marquee at the Sandringham Flower Show this July and was much admired by all. Allwoods Lemon Drizzle is the result of many years of improving the 1970s original 'Creamery' and has the most stunning pale yellow blooms and vibrant green foliage. It is a much better flowering variety than the original to ensure an abundance of flowers all through the season and is much stronger performing. Overall it is a definite must have - so don't miss out!
